Finished PT School, back to running, and then off to Cuba
Hey everyone,
Just a little quick update on what’s going on with me after being missing since after XC nationals. I took some time off running a bit, recharged the batteries, then ran out with some of the boys on a 21 km run through a blizzard and strained my calf. I only did my first track workout last night. Wasn’t a hard workout thankfully, a simple:
4 x (400-300-200), 30 sec rest between reps, 5 mins between sets. I hit 66-48-31 on average, so not too strenuous. A nice little step back into the fast lane if I say so.
Right now I’m at the gym, relaxing, enjoying some coffee and blogging. Yesterday I was running around, first an interview at a CLSC since I’ll be working near the Guy-Concordia metro doing physiotherapy home visits for people who can’t come to the clinic. After that interview I was off to Anjou (east-end of Montreal) to get my license number for physiotherapy from the Quebec professional order. However once I was there they couldn’t give it to me unless I returned a blasted book to McGill, so I booked it there, returned the book to the school of PT, and got my number. Also payed off the library fines I owed, McGill must make a killing from those things.
So what’s the next little bit looking like for me? Well I’m going to be doing some stuff here and there until I leave for Cuba on the 25th, some webdesign, hanging out with friends/family, just enjoying some well-earned time off (I worked 4 months for free doing internships until this week). I’ll post up some pictures from Cuba as soon as I get back, and give you guys some details on my trip.
So keep on running people,
-Steve
